ASN

Availability Locks

A mechanism that is used to lock the inventory temporarily for an item at a node in short-pick scenarios until the supply picture is corrected.

Available to Promise

ATP

The quantity of an item that a business can commit to delivering to customers on a specific date based on current on-hand and future supply levels.

Bulk Availability

--

A feature that enables enterprises to retrieve the availability numbers for multiple items across multiple nodes.

Bulk Supply Feeds

--

Large quantities of supply information or details transferred from an external system to OneTruth.

Buy Online Pickup In Store

BOPIS

A retail fulfillment strategy that allows customers to purchase items online and then pick them up in a physical store location rather than having them shipped to their homes.

Canceled

--

Complete or partial cancellation of an order.

Catalog Hierarchy

--

The structured organization of products or items within a catalog, typically arranged in a multi-level framework for easier navigation, categorization, and management. For example: Clothing > Men's Wear > Trousers.

Category Level Safety Stock

--

The amount of inventory that a company maintains as a buffer against unexpected demand or supply chain disruptions for a group of related items within a category.

Code Repository

--

A storage location for source code and other software development assets such as tests and scripts.

Dashboard

--

A user interface that provides an at-a-glance view of key information and metrics related to inventory management. It is a visual representation of data and analytics that allows users to monitor, analyze, and make informed decisions about their inventory.

Database Extensions

--

A way to accommodate changes and additions to the data model without fundamentally altering the existing structure.

Days of Supply

--

An important inventory metric that estimates how long the current stock of an item will last, based on its current rate of demand or usage

Delta Sync Feeds

--

Selective transfer of data from an external system, focusing solely on the changes or updates that have occurred since the last synchronization.

Demand Buckets

--

The various phases that highlight the progression of an order from the point of creation to either the point of fulfillment or the point of cancellation. These include orders that are confirmed, scheduled, released or back orders.

Demand Segment

--

Consists of one or more supply segments designated to fulfill demand.

Dirty Node

--

A node where an item belonging to an order is said to be available but is not found at the store, and, as a result, the item is short-picked (unable to be picked or delivered to the customer).

Do Not Sell Before

--

The ability to withhold the sale of products before a specific date and time.

Estimated Time of Arrival

ETA

Informs enterprises about the scheduled date and time during which a supply or demand event is estimated to occur.

Exceptions

--

Situations or events that deviate from the normal or expected flow of inventory management operations.

Extensibility

--

The ability of a system or software to easily accommodate and integrate new features, functionalities, modules, or components without requiring significant changes to its existing core architecture.

First Quality Products

--

The items that meet the highest standards of quality and comply fully with industry specifications.

Full Sync Feeds

--

A complete transfer of data from the source system to the target system. This process encompasses the transmission of all data records, ensuring that both existing entries and any new updates or changes are fully transmitted during the full sync process.

Future Supply

--

The expected or planned availability of items that can be promised to customers at a future date.

Hard Reservation

--

No expiry window with the status as ‘Confirmed’. The order made using the hard reservation is final.

In Transit

--

Items that are in the process of being transported from the vendors to the enterprises.

Infinite Inventory

--

The inventory for non-quantifiable items such as digital products, warranty cards, and gift cards, that are always available to promise.

Inventory

--

The items that a business holds for sale or use in its operations.

Inventory Lock

--

The process of temporarily blocking the availability of an item due to different business reasons, such as a dirty node.

Inventory Segmentation

--

The ability to project inventory availability accurately by virtually grouping inventory across various channels.

Invocation

--

The act of requesting or triggering a specific action or function within OneTruth.

Item Level Safety Stock

--

The amount of inventory that a company maintains as a buffer against unexpected demand or supply chain disruptions for a specific item.

Item Node Level Safety Stock

--

The amount of inventory that a company maintains as a buffer against unexpected demand or supply chain disruptions for a specific item at a specific node within the supply chain.

Limit ATP Before

--

The ability to limit or restrict the sale of products before a specific date and time.

Message Transformation

--

Converting incoming and outgoing messages between different formats or protocols within OneTruth.

Message Validation

--

Validating the content of incoming and outgoing messages for accuracy and compliance.

Node ID

--

The unique identifier of a node.

On Hand Supply

--

The quantity of inventory that a business currently has available in its inventory service or physically in its warehouse or store.

Product Class

--

A group of products that are related to each other based on their attributes, characteristics, or intended use.

Purchase Order

PO

A commercial document that is sent from a buyer to a supplier, requesting the purchase of items.

Reservation ID

--

A unique identifier assigned to a reservation for an item.

Safety Stock

--

A quantity of inventory that a business keeps aside to protect themselves against stockouts or unexpected spikes in demand.

Safety Stock at Department Level

--

The amount of inventory that a department maintains as a buffer against unexpected demand or supply chain disruptions.

Ship From Store

SFS

A fulfillment method through which the order is shipped directly from the store.

Snapshot, Audit, Visibility and Reconciliation

SAVR

Snapshot, Audits, Visibility, Reconciliation (SAVR) Service that deals with the auditing and reporting aspect of inventory.

Soft Reservation

An expiry window with the status as 'Reserved'. A customer can book an item until the reserved time slot is expired.

Sub-category Level Safety Stock

--

The amount of inventory that a company maintains as a buffer against unexpected demand or supply chain disruptions for a group of related items within a sub-category.

Supply Breakdown

--

A breakdown of the item's supply progression across various stages, such as Purchase Order Created, Items in Transit, and Items on Hand.

Supply Buckets

--

The various phases of inventory progression, from procurement to order fulfillment. This includes on-hand inventory at a node that is available to promise, as well as future inventory that is in transit.

Supply Segment

--

Represents the virtual divisions an enterprise might use for inventory supply. For example, an enterprise may divide its supply into B2B, B2C, and Common segments.

Threshold Publishing

--

An event triggered and published when inventory availability reaches, exceeds, or falls below a defined threshold level.

Thresholds

--

Pre-defined levels of inventory that trigger alerts or notifications to enterprises when the stock of an item reaches a certain level.

Time to Live

TTL

A feature that refers to the amount of time for which a particular record or data in a caching system will remain valid before it is considered expired.

Unit of Measure

UOM

A standard used to quantify the amount or quantity of an item.
