Pre-Orders

The Pre-Orders feature enables enterprises to control their sales by limiting the availability of their inventory. It can be configured at an item level in the ways listed below.

1. Do Not Sell Before

The Do Not Sell Before feature allows you to disable the sales of a specific item before a certain date. This helps you to regulate your inventory while accepting preorders. To configure this feature for an item you need the item ID, unit of measure, reason code, and the date range.

2. Limit ATP Before

The Limit ATP Before feature allows you to limit the sales of a specific item before a certain date. This helps you to distribute the sales of your item while maintaining your inventory and preventing stockouts. To configure this feature for an item you need the item ID, unit of measure, reason code, date range, and the quantity to limit.

Pre-Orders Start Date

The start date applies the configuration from the date it is set. The start date can be the current date or a date in the future. If the start date is not defined, the inventory lock is automatically applied from the current date.

Pre-Orders End Date

You can also set an end date to automatically remove the configuration at the end of a certain period. If the end date is not defined, the configuration will remain applied until it is manually removed.
