Infinite Inventory

The Infinite Inventory window provides enterprises with details of items that are infinitely available across all supply segments. The term Infinite Inventory is used to refer to items for which traditional inventory tracking and management processes do not apply. OneTruth assumes that the items are always available in the inventory, regardless of the actual quantity present.

Viewing Infinite Inventory

To view the infinite inventory,

1. Navigate to the left panel in OneTruth and select Configuration > Infinite Inventory.

2. The Infinite Inventory window is displayed that lists a summary of the items within.

Adding Infinite Inventory

Enterprises may add infinite inventory for items in OneTruth for various reasons such as scalability or item variations. For example, an enterprise that already has infinite inventory for gift wrapping material may choose to create infinite inventory for warranty cards or digital items as well.

To add items to the infinite inventory,

1. Navigate to the top-right corner and click Create New.

2. Entering the required details in their respective fields and click Save.

Note: If you provide a node ID corresponding to the item ID, then the item will have infinite inventory only in that specific node. If you do not provide a node ID, then the item will have infinite inventory across all nodes.

Applying Filters to the Infinite Inventory Grid

You can implement filters to showcase solely the items present in a specific node or all items across all nodes.

To search for and filter items, navigate to the Search bar in the top-left corner and click the Advanced Search Filters icon.

Note: The Advanced Search Filter is configurable, and you can add or remove attributes according to your needs and preferences.

Infinite Inventory Actions

While viewing your infinite inventory, you can perform the following actions by clicking the relevant icons in the Actions column on the right.

Viewing Infinite Inventory Details: This action allows you to view the infinite inventory details for a particular item ID at a given node. For more details on viewing infinite inventory details, refer to Viewing Inventory Availability Details.

Deleting Infinite Inventory: This action allows you to delete infinite inventory for items that enterprises wish to make available in finite quantities in OneTruth. Enterprises may make items available in finite quantities due to various reasons, such as limited physical stock, item discontinuation, exclusivity or scarcity, or compliance and regulation issues.

Note: If an item ID has a node assigned to it, then the item has infinite inventory in that specific node. If an item ID does not have a node assigned to it, then the item has infinite inventory across all nodes.

Downloading and Uploading Infinite Inventory Data

You can download templates to view the information required for the configuration of infinite inventory. You can make the required updates to the templates and then upload the modified templates. The CSV files can be used to create or delete infinite inventory in bulk. Enterprises often create infinite inventory in bulk for items during promotional campaigns or flash sales and delete it once the campaign concludes.

Downloading Infinite Inventory

To download the infinite inventory templates,

1. Navigate to the top-right corner and click the Ellipsis button adjacent to the Download option.

2. Select the required template from the following available options:

• Item-Node Template: Creates and deletes the infinite inventory at an item-node level by updating the item ID, UOM, and Node ID.

• Download All: Provides information about the infinite inventory configured for all the items in OneTruth’s database. You can download and view the infinite inventory data for the selected items in the Infinite Inventory window. To download and view the infinite inventory data for selected items, you can filter the items based on the search capabilities in the Advanced Search Filter pop-up window.

Once you have downloaded the file, enter the relevant data within it, save changes, and upload it.

Uploading Infinite Inventory Templates

To upload the modified infinite inventory template,

1. Navigate to the top-right corner and click the Ellipsis button adjacent to the Upload option.

2. Select the Item-Node Level.

3. In the Upload pop-up window, drag and drop the desired file in the drop box, and click Done.

Note: Only CSV files can be uploaded. If any other file format is uploaded, the system will throw an error.
