Walk-In Reserve

The Walk-In Reserve window provides details of the walk-in reserve templates configured at the item, item and node, sub-category, category, node type, fulfillment type, and global levels across all supply segments. A walk-in reserve template is a pre-designed format or layout that OneTruth can use to calculate ATP and determine the appropriate amount of walk-in reserve at a given level.

Each walk-in reserve template has a rule or condition associated with it, and each template is also assigned a priority to establish the importance and order in which OneTruth should use them.

Note: When an enterprise configures walk-in reserve at a specific level, it applies across all supply segments.

Viewing Walk-In Reserve

In the Walk-In Reserve window, for each item ID you can view Templates that are pre-designed formats or layouts that OneTruth can use for ATP calculation and to determine the appropriate amount of walk-in reserve at a given level.

You can also view Conditions that are guidelines or principles used to determine the level at which the walk-in reserve has been configured.

To view the walk-in reserve templates,

  1. Navigate to the left panel in OneTruth and select Configuration > Walk-In Reserve.

  2. In order to view the walk-in reserve templates, navigate to the top of the window and enter an item ID in the Search bar.

Adding Walk-In Reserve

Enterprises may need to configure walk-in reserves at new levels, such as the item/node or global level.

To add a new template,

  1. Navigate to the top-right corner and click Add New.

  2. Select the Template you want to configure and enter the required details in the relevant fields.

  3. Click Submit in the top-right corner to save the data.

  4. If you want to create multiple walk-in reserve templates, click Submit & Create New to save changes to the current template and create a new one right after.

Notes:

  • A default fulfillment type labeled “DEF” is configured in all walk-in reserve templates. You can modify this fulfillment type according to your business needs.

  • The Value fields allow you to enter the item ID, fulfillment type, unit of measure, node ID, node type, network ID, or category associated with the attributes configured in the walk-in reserve template. For example, if the template is configured at the item and fulfillment type levels, you would need to add both the item ID and fulfillment type. Similarly, for a configuration at the node type and fulfillment type levels, both the node type and fulfillment type should be entered.

Applying Filters to the Walk-In Reserve Templates

You may implement filters to showcase templates configured solely at the item or node levels. Filters can also be implemented to showcase templates at the node type or global level.

To search for and filter items, navigate to the Search bar in the top-left corner and click the Advanced Search Filters icon.

Note: The Advanced Search Filter is configurable, and you can add or remove attributes according to your needs and preferences.

Walk-In Reserve Actions

While viewing your walk-in reserve, you can perform the following actions by clicking the relevant icons in the Actions column on the right.

Editing Walk-In Reserve Templates: Enterprises can edit the walk-in reserve configuration of a template when changes in demand or supply impact the inventory strategy for an item.

Note: While editing, only the Walk-In Reserve field can be updated. The Template and Value fields are disabled and cannot be edited.

Deleting Walk-In Reserve Templates: Enterprises may choose to delete a walk-in reserve template when it no longer fulfills a business need or becomes obsolete, and when the configuration of walk-in reserves at a specific level is discontinued due to lack of profitability.

Note: Walk-in reserve templates and the priorities associated with them are configurable. You can add or remove walk-in reserve templates according to your needs and preferences.
