Audits

OneTruth provides the ability to capture inventory audits, which are transactions, such as supply changes, demand changes, operations on locks, infinite inventory, and safety stocks in the Snapshot, Audits, Visibility, and Reconciliation (SAVR) service. The SAVR service deals with the logging and reporting aspect of inventory. These transactions are recorded and saved with source timestamps indicating when each transaction occurred. Audits are captured and displayed in chronological order, which is a common and effective practice for maintaining a clear and organized audit trail for inventory management.

The following are the different types of audits:

  • Demand Audits: Audits are captured both when an order is created and when there is a change in the demand bucket. To illustrate, if a customer order is placed at time T1 and confirmed, then scheduled at time T2, two audits are recorded at T2. One reflects the decrease in quantity from the “Confirmed” bucket, and the other shows the increase in quantity within the “Scheduled Demand” bucket. These audits include the order number as a reference, along with the order quantity at the respective node or network.

  • Supply Audits: The full-sync and delta supply adjustments are captured as part of supply audits. When a customer order is shipped, an audit to indicate the reduction in supply quantity from the on-hand supply bucket will also be available on the same date and time as the shipped demand audit.

  • Infinite Inventory Audits: When an item is configured as infinite or removed from being infinite at either the item level or item-node level, audits are captured indicating this action along with the information of the user who has performed the action.

  • Safety Stock Audits: When a safety stock is created, updated, or deleted using the rule-based approach from OneTruth’s user interface, audits are captured for these operations along with the user information of who has performed the action.

  • Lock Inventory Audits: Audits are captured when inventory is locked or unlocked at the item level, item-node level, or node level. These audits include information about the user who performed the action, particularly in cases of manual locks created through the UI.

Note: SAVR's inventory management system includes a user-friendly interface (UI) that allows users to filter and view audit transactions by date and various criteria, including item ID, node, and specific audit types, providing valuable flexibility and control.
