Pre-Orders
The Pre-order feature enables enterprises to control product availability for sale with specific dates and quantities. This functionality is particularly useful for managing inventory in scenarios requiring strict control over sales timing and limits.
For instance, when launching a new Android phone, an enterprise can use the Pre-Order feature to list the phone on its website while preventing purchases until a specified release date. Additionally, the Pre-Order feature enables the enterprise to stagger sales by controlling availability—for example, releasing 500 units in the first week, 600 in the second week, and so on—regardless of the current ATP level. This assumes that sufficient inventory will be available by each scheduled release date.
Key Applications
New Product Launches: Prevents new products from being sold before a set launch date or limits their availability before the official release. This ensures alignment with marketing strategies, prevents premature sales, and synchronizes availability with launch plans.
Promotional Events: Regulates product sales during promotions, allowing items to be offered in limited quantities during a specific time period. This helps manage inventory for campaigns, ensuring products are available in defined quantities only during the promotional period.
Exclusive Releases: Controls the sale of exclusive or limited-edition items, making them available only after a certain date or in limited quantities. This creates exclusivity and manages inventory for high-demand items effectively.
Pre-Order Management: Manages the availability of items for pre-order, including setting limits before the official release. This structures pre-order phases to balance demand and inventory levels ahead of the full release.
